HAUNTED CAVERN FAQ’s
What are the hours of operation?
The Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern opens on Friday, September 26th.
It will be open every Friday and Saturday night through October 11
Then it we are open every Thursday-Sunday until Saturday, November 1.
On Site Tickets sales begin no earlier than 7:30 pm,
and the attraction opens no later than 8:00pm.
In general the Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern closes at 10:00
Sundays & Thursdays and at 11:00 on Friday & Saturdays.
The Haunted Cavern stays open later to accommodate patrons on busy
nights but the box office will not close earlier than posted time.

Does Ruby Falls accept credit cards?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Does the Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern offer group rates?
Yes, to qualify for a group rate you must have a group of 10 or more
with one person paying. Group discounts only apply to those who call
24 hours prior to arrival. Group reservations do not affect wait
time so please plan accordingly. Call 1-800-755-7105 to reserve.
Can I make a group reservation?
There are discount group rates available for visits on Thursdays and
Sundays. Reservations do not affect the wait time for the Haunted
Cavern as it is a first come first serve format, however they do
have a discounted cost. For group information call 1-800-755-7105 or
email.
Where can I find coupons?

It will include information about the Haunted Cavern as well as
discounts and other special promotions.

The Haunt
What should I wear to the Haunted Cavern?
Part of the experience is above ground and part is in a cave, so it
is best to wear comfortable clothing that is appropriate for that
days weather. It is also recommended that you wear closed-toed shoes
when you visit the Haunted Cavern. No sandals or flip flops
please!!!
How long does it take to go through the Haunted Cavern?
The Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern is a free form haunt,
where guests
move at their own pace
(with a little encouragement).
There are
three elements within the haunt itself;
1. Cave Section
2. Bus Ride
3. Above Ground
On average it will take an average of 30-45 minutes to
complete the
full experience.
But if we do our job well,
you will go through much quicker.
This year the Haunted Cavern will host an expanded exit area
which
will include food, haunted retail and a special ride attraction
named “The Last Ride”
Are the monsters allowed to touch you?
Actors inside the Haunted Cavern will not touch you. However, they
do get very close. Occasionally you may brush up against their
costumes or props. You may also come into contact with some of the
sets.
But we will never intentionally touch you.
Are there any age restrictions?
Due to its intense nature the Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern
is not
recommended for children ages 10 and under.
There is not a reduced
children’s price.
Is the Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern wheelchair accessible?
The top part of the haunt is. But the cave portion is not.
Can I go in if I'm pregnant?
You can, but should avoid certain segments of the attraction.
Please
inform one of our attendants so special arrangements can be made.
You might also consult your physician before entering the Haunted
Cavern.
Is the Haunted Cavern open if it rains?
Yes! , but only limitedly (cave only) in the event of heavy rains.
We are fully operationally if it is only lightly raining. In the
event of a downpour we will only be able to run the cave portion of
the haunt. Prices will be adjusted and rain-checks will be given to
all who visit if this occurs.
Is it dark?
You better believe it's dark.

Wait time & Lines
What time does the line start forming?
Early in the season, arriving around 8pm is fine,
but as we get
closer to Halloween the crowds get larger,
and we suggest arriving
early to avoid any wait.
How long is the wait in line?
In general, wait time is less than 30 minutes. However, on the last
2 weekends in October and on Halloween the lines will be much
longer. It is suggested to visit earlier in October if you would
like to avoid the longer lines! For those that do not mind a little
wait entertainment will be provided by our line Monsters and
Sliders.
I just bought my ticket online… do I still
have to wait in line when I get to the Haunted Cavern?
Buying your tickets online does not affect your wait time,
please
plan accordingly.

Rules and Regulations
Is there security at the Haunted Cavern?
Yes. The Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern uses City of Chattanooga Police
Officers for our security team. We seldom, if ever, have a problem
that actually requires security but we have it just in case.
Can we be thrown out for any reason?
Yes. We do not allow foul language, pushing, vulgar behavior,
weapons of any kind, alcohol, etc. We have a list of rules just like
anyone else that must be adhered to for your own safety.
Violation of these rules will usually bring a warning
or being
asked to leave without a refund.
Do you serve alcoholic beverages?
NO! Alcohol is not allowed on the property, so please do not bring
any.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is allowed only in the parking lot. Smoking is
NOT allowed
once the haunted experience begins.
Can we take flash photos of your haunted houses?
NO photography of any sort is permitted at the Haunted Cavern.
Haunted houses are dark and peoples eyes (especially the actors)
adjust to the low light. When you flash your camera you're not only
ruining other customers' experience but you're hurting the actors'
eyes. The monsters working outside will often pose for pictures if
approached.
What can't we bring with us inside your haunted houses?
No pets! No weapons! No alcoholic beverages! No cameras! No smoking!
No laser pointers or flashlights! No food or beverages! No Bad
Attitudes!

Employment
How old do you have to be to work at Haunted Cavern?
You must be at least 18 years old to work at the Haunted Cavern.
Pre-application available on this page beginning in July.
Can I apply online?
Yes, as long as we are hiring you can visit the Monsters wanted link
on the home page for the application. Once hiring has ended the link
will be removed.
